I am recovering from a heart attack, (doing well), and cannot go. In your research while there, will you please watch for my DICE - DIES grandfather's burial? James Franklin DICE (any spelling) supposedly was somewhere near Alexandria, possibly in Leesville, when he was said to have died in July of 1903. He and his wife Hattie had a daughter named Eve born there March 28, 1901. James Franklin DICE - DIES was a ventriloquist in a wagon show. He also played the fiddle. There may have been newspaper ads in the area concerning his wagon show. I certainly would be grateful to get any information concerning him. He was known to sign his name J.F.DIES, Frank DICE, and Jim Dies, and the DICE could have been spelled any number of ways. While at the reunion, in your studies in LA, if you find anything at all about this man, my grandfather, I would very much like to hear from you. Will you please make a printout of my letter and tuck it into your research notes? I would greatly appreciate any help. With Sincere Thanks, Jean
