    3. Hello to Dyess researchers, I've just signed on and am looking for my DYE ancestors. I've found them called everything from Dee to Dew to Daw to Day to Dias. I've been able to trace back as far as my g-g-grandfather, Martin Die/Dye, b. 1800 in GA. Names in Warren co., GA, of other Dyes were Abraham, Abel, David, Thomas, John, and William. These latter two are the most common names in the family. I believe my Martin may originate from the Richmond co., VA, family sired by an earlier Martin Die. This man's descendants wound up in Warren co., NC, and then moved south to GA. They intermarried with the Jacksons, the Hopkins, the Kellys, and the Mayfields. Does this match any Dyess family in GA?
