Even in the current phone book of some of the Cheokee County Cities, there are several DYESS people listed... and...I'm sure a lot of our other ancestors names as well.... Another date to add to your genealogical calenders is June 27 in Jacksonville. the Cherokee County Genealogical society is sponsoring an ancestor swap-meet from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Norman Activity Center, 526 E. commerce, Jacksonville, Tx. Pre-registration is $15/person or $25/couple, after that date, the cost is $20/person. Anyone, attending or not, is encouraged to send surnames of interest, as well as family information, in by June 13, as a surname list will be given to attendees and information received will be available for study and may be copied during the swap-meet.
