HI... I got the following message from Walter Murrphy..... Walt: Thanks so much for searching and sharing with us..... Thanks!! kaite... == I subscribe to Ancestry.com I was in one of their data bases "Naturalizations in America and the West Indies". I did a search for Dyess...nothing. Remembering your Georgia info, I searched Dias...bingo! It came up with 6 matches, the most notable were; Aron Dias Fernandes, 26 Feb. 1740. Moses Dias Fernandes, Naturalized at Jamaica 28 Nov. 1750 I made printouts, but you will probably want to go there yourself. The description of the database says; The lords commissioners for Trade and Plantation established the act for naturalizations in the American and West Indidan colonies in 1740. Pursuant to that act, commissioners in the Americas sent records back to England detailing those foreign protestants who were naturalized in the colonies. It was abolished abt 1782 with the commission was dissolved. I hope this is something worthwhile.! Walt Murphy
