I have established my lineage back to Henry Dyess d. 1738 SC. One of his sons, John was the father of "The Six Dyess Brothers of SC" as called on another website. One of the six, William Dyess b. 1765 Barnwell Co.SC was my great great great grandfather through his son Dempsey, then Dempsey E., and Abraham, my grandfather.
