Faye was right. I should have answered to the list first. Dempsey E. Dyess married Sarah Ann Graham. Sarah was the sister to my great grandfather Charles H.B. Graham. She was the oldest, he was the baby of 15 children. When Dempsey died, family lore has it that she ran around and around in the house until she collapsed. I am a bit "fuzzy" as to the reason for his death. I was told that he served in the Civil War, but not in a "regular" unit. I think that the date of death on Charles Dyesses gedcom was in 1875? Six of the Graham children moved to Brazos Co, TX in the 1870's. The 1880 census, Brazos Co, TX shows two of Dempsey and Sarah's sons with families. I made a copy of Dyess cemetery listings at the Bryan City Library, TX, and it has 10 listings for anyone who is interested. I have a scanner (and am still learning.) I will be glad to share any of the information I have on that line. Sarah Ann Graham DYESS and Charles Graham are buried in Brazos Co, Texas. Gayle Turner
