I just read the wonderful post in reference to the Irish Dyess. This is beginning to fit in more and more. I spent last night learning about the German-Palatine's. Jacob Dice who arrived in Savannah 1737 is listed as a Palatine. Before coming to the Colonies some of the Palatine's were in Ireland. I reall feel we are about to make a big discovery. Dyess is originally a German name!! Let me hear your comments. Faye
