Reply-to: jwalla03@MAIL.ORION.ORG (Jean D. Wallace) To: LOUISIANA-ROOTS-L@LISTSERV.INDIANA.EDU Date: 97-10-01 21:35:50 EDT James Franklin DYSE (any spelling) is said to have died in June of 1903 near Shreveport, Louisiana. At the time of his death, he was working as a ventriloquist in a wagon show. I have a picture taken of him and his wife, with another man and a small boy dressed as a clown. The ventriloquist had two ventriloquist dolls, one on each knee. He was seated, and so was the other man, and behind them was the wagon, with wording at the top, partly cut off above the picture. The words looked like MOLLAN. MURROW SHOW I would like to know if this picture was advertised in a newspaper as advertisement. If so, what date? And what names were mentioned? The ventriloquist was my grandfather. I need to know when and where he died. It is said that he was 46 years old, in 1903 near Shreveport when he died of a heart attack. I need a newspaper article, or obit, or cemetery record. I will appreciate any help. Thank you very much. Jean
