Father could be Isaac Dyess listed in the 1850 census of Putnam Co., FL. His story as I know it. Two brothers settled afew miles apart. One in Echols Co., GA the other in Hamilton Co., FL. One was Isaac Jackson the other is unknown. Isaacs wife died. Isaacs brother died. Isaac and his brothers wife (Phearby Thompson b. 1849 d. 1915 buried Statenville, GA) decided to combine families. They each had two previous daughter, Cassie b. Feb 1873 m. Moses Oppenheimer, Mary m. Leon Hughs, Anna m. Colie Crosby, and Emma b. ca 1876 m. Rowan(Alan) Deloach, Jr. Together they had three children, John Jessie b. 1884 m. Elizabeth Lindsey, Edith J. (Edie)b. Oct 1887 or 8 m. Warren V. (Buddy) Crosby(they are both buried Hamiliton Co., FL), and Joseph William b. 1886 m. Mattie Treadwell (He is buried Statenville, GA, she is buried Valdosta, GA.)
