Let us professionally do your genealogical searching for you, via our subscriptions to over 100 fee-based databases and every CD-ROM set publicly available, FAR BEYOND what is available for free online. The best part about our service is the fee: our service is just $20 per ancestor, and we only charge if we successfully find the information you seek. Our resources include virtually every item available to today's genealogist...(1) state, federal and local census data, (2) death, marriage and birth records, (3) military records, (4) property tax and transfer records, (5) immigration records, (6) computer indexing of all major genealogical books, (7) full (and very thorough) "robot" searching of every item available on the Internet, (8) non-US records (a specialty), (9) trace of nearest living relatives and much more.... Email with search requests or for more information.

HI.... I have just received the news that RootsWeb will be down off and on for the next 48 hours as they will be upgrading their system and adding more disk space. kaite...
HI.. Here is a genealogy search engine (http://www.genforum.com)... I went there tonight and put the DYESS surname in and got the message back that it was not a common name and would have to have at least 2 other people to request that it be added to the forum. So...I would ask that you all go and request it... This is a great place to put our names and some of the people that we are searching... I have a good friend that did that today and he has already found five cousins.... Again, the URL is: http://www.genforum.com Thanks!!!! kaite....
I have not yet connected Isaac Jackson (Jack) to his parents but did want to share the find that was passed on to me yesterday. Isaac Jackson did NOT die or disappear in 1892. We will never know if his wife Phearby knew the truth and lied or never knew. Isaac Jackson was discovered in the 1900 census of Hillsbrough County, FL living with another wife Ann of 8 years. I do not know yet how long he lived but hopefully we will learn that soon. The plot continues to thicken with this family. Some days we wll make the connections. Faye

Seeking info on Isaac Jackson (Jack) Dyess b. ca 1850, possibly in FL d. ca. 1890. Father could be Isaac Dyess listed in the 1850 census of Putnam Co., FL. His story as I know it. Two brothers settled afew miles apart. One in Echols Co., GA, the other in Hamilition Co., FL. One was Isaac Jackson, the other is unknown. Isaacs wife died. Isaacs brother died. Isaac and his brothers wife (Phearby Thompson b. 1849 d. 1915 buried Statenville, Echols Co., GA) decided to combine families. They each had two previous daughters, Cassie b. Feb 1973 m. Moses Oppenheimer, Mary m. Leon Hughs, Anna m. Colie Crosby and Emma b. ca 1876 m. Rowan (Alan) Deloach, Jr. Together they had three children, John Jessie b. 1884 m. Elizabeth Lindsey, Edith J. (Edie) b. Oct 1887 or 8 m. Warren V. (Buddy) Crosby (They are both buried Hamiliton Co., FL) and Joseph William b. 1886 m. Mattie Treadwell (He is buried Statenville, GA, she is buried Valdosta, GA.) Any info to help connect this family will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Faye
Jean, In the book Descendants of the Dyess Brothers by Trammell there is the record of 2 persons named James Franklin Dyess. They don't appear to be your JF but in case you haven't seen this book here it is in brief. Can give more if it fits. No. 1. James Franklin Dyess b. July 27, 1865 Polk Cty. Fla. married: (1)Annie Driggers (2) Fannie Patrick (3) Mary Youmans. He died in DeSoto Cty. Fla. in 1952. No. 2. James Franklin Dyess married Neddie Lee in 1950. She was born in 1943. Not much on this James Franklin. They had children in the 1960's. I thought these people might provide leads since the name is so close. I also looked in the Natchitoch Parish cemetery book and there was nothing there. Don Marler -- **************************************************** Dogwood Press c/o Don C.
