    1. DUTTONS of New England
    2. Dear List Members; Recently Colin wrote, "Charles and I discussed with Byron the possibility of obtaining him an aold computer from British Telecom to chart all of his information on. We also discussed archiving his and our information so that it doesn't get lost or destroyed and we thought that it may be of interest to scan all photographs and documents and preserve them on a CD as both Charles and I have CD writers and scanners. "It may also be an idea to get all the Duttons to do the same and for maybe, Mike or whoever, to be the custodian of the archive but with all of the information freely obtainable be us all. Could we be as good as the Mormons and have our own sets of CD's of Dutton memorabilia, maybe they would even crave a copy for their own archive, who knows. I agree totally. In the meantime, I am writing a book regarding my maternal grandfather's ancestors, of whom a major portion comes of DUTTON stock, particularly those bold New Englanders who helped settle that portion of North America. If anyone has verifiable resources regarding the DUTTONS of New England, please email me if you'd care to share what you have. I am not only looking for statistics, but also for histories. When my book is finished, I would be happy to offer an E-mail downloadable file with the portion regarding the Duttons as found therein. I have been researching the New England Duttons for quite some time, having made several trips to that area over the past seven years. When I have completed my research and have the Dutton portion of my book ready, I will advise list members so that those interested will be able to have access to the information. Meanwhle, I hope to hear from some of you out there who may have stories to share. Best Regards, SAM
