    3. Hi Colin - I eagerly await your report on the Byron Hadley visit. If there was ever a "man on the scene" I'd pick for this job....it would certainly be you! So I think I speak for all of us in the US. that we'll be interested in your "take" on the whole story. I was sorry to hear of the limited response to the UK in 2K plans. I've just heard from Carole and she and I are still VERY interesting in coming over......and we promise that our enthusiasm will make up for our limited numbers!! If you're still willing to shepherd a small group around the countryside......you can count us in. Who knows, a smaller more intimate group might prove easier to work with logistically.....and will certainly produce just as much fun and enjoyment as a large herd! <grin> A Jacobean Feast? A tea party? WHATEVER it turns out to be - it will be just as merry and fun filled as those held by Sir Piers! Who knows, when he hears of all the fun, maybe he'll join us! We don't want to miss this opportunity to SEE the old Dutton Manor House and their churches and their graves.....and Chester and Sherborne...and to meet you and the other assembled cousins.....and to soak up lots of merrie ole' England!! WOW----I'm getting excited! Four months to go? How will I ever wait that long!! Phyllis --- packing my bags! -----Original Message----- From: Colin Dutton [mailto:colin.dutton@btinternet.com] Sent: Saturday, February 12, 2000 5:39 PM To: DUTTON-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Sherborne Duttons Hi everyone, Just a quick note to advise you all that I will be going down to meet young Byron Hadley next weekend, Friday 18th to Sunday 20th February. I will off course be armed with my camera, several rolls of film and my video camera and hopefully a small tape recorder (if it still works). I will come back on line when I get back to let you all know how I got on. UKin2K has had a very poor respone, I was under the impression that there were more than just a few Duttons out there who were interested in coming over and sharing some time together. Not to worry, it will still go on, maybe not with the Jacobean Banquet, I don't think there is enough for a banquet, maybe just a tea-party!! I will write again real soon. Regards to you all. Colin
