    1. Kingsman Dutton's Wives (decendant of PA John and Mary (Darlington) Dutton
    2. Regarding a second wife of Kingsman Dutton: According to the probate records of Chester County, PA., Kingsman Dutton died without a will, but the county provided me a copy of these probate records; 1. A Common Bond, dated 20 July 1765, signed by Anne Dutton, Francis Routh (Anne's maiden name was Routh) and Humphrey Johnson; 2. A True Inventory of property, dated 16 August 1765, signed by Richard Dutton and Jonathon Richards; 3. A Payment Accompl, dated 22 March 1768, signed by Anne Dutton and one other. This is an acknowledgement that they have paid the listed debts and that a "Widows thirds" was retained, presumably by the widow, Anne Dutton. Cope states Kingsman's estate was sold by the sheriff in 1768. These records indicate Anne Dutton was the bonded administrator of Kingsman's estate. This seems to indicate that Kingsman was still married to his first wife, Anne (Routh) Dutton, when he died. The LDS records indicate Kingsman died in 1765 and his wife, Anne, died in 1774. Cope indicates also that Kingsman died in 1765 and that Anne was still living in 1774. These records seem to discount a second wife for the Kingsman Dutton whose first wive was Anne Routh. Curt Rowe (curtrowe@ix.netcom) indicated in an e-mail 10/29/99 that there were other Kingsman and Kinsman Duttons in Athens County, Ohio. Maybe the second wife attributed to Kingsman Dutton (whose first wife was Anne Routh) was the first wife of another Kingsman from Athens County, Ohio. Curt, in your e-mail of 8/28/99, was the Samuel Dutton you mentioned that dictated a document stating that Kingsman Dutton married a Mary Watson a descendant of PA John and Mary (Darlington) Dutton, or could he have been a descendant of the Athen County, Ohio Duttons?
