Sam enquired about John DUTTON of Frodsham, Cheshire and his family. John was baptised at St. Lawrence's Parish Church, Frodsham. Overton is the area of Frodsham parish where the church is situated. As the name implies, it overlooks the town of Frodsham and from the church there is a clear view across the Manchester Ship Canal and the River Mersey. This morning it was sunny (and cold) and the two cathedrals at Liverpool could be seen on the horizon. You must all come and visit us one day! The baptismal entry for 19 April 1596 reads, "John Dutton fil Jo. de Hall". The following entry may possibly be the marriage entry for John's parents: 24 Dec 1594. Jo. Dutton and Ann Brownent. Unfortunately, I shall be away for the next few days but when I return I will make a list of every DUTTON baptism, marriage and burial in Frodsham Parish Registers from 1558 to 1812.
