David and his son, Daniel, who came from Missouri to care for his ailing father,migrated to Somerset, Kentucky sometime prior to 1810. The farm that they purchased is named Dutton Hill. A Civil War battle was fought there and a monument stands in memory of those 250 killed in the battle. Saddly, a large part of the farm was sold in auction about 15 years ago and subdivisions are going up now. However, my father and Grandfather, both named Joseph Dutton still own a portion of the original Dutton Hill Estate. My grandfather's late sister, Gladys Dutton compiled a wonderful geneology that has been passed to me. I do not have any information prior to David Dutton. Anyone heard of him? Apparently his father, whose name I do not know, is buried in Virginia and was in the Virginia militia prior to 1774. I would love to have any more information.
