New York Times, Friday, April 18, 1958 Rev. Caleb Dutton Palo Alto, Calif., April 17 (AP) - The Rev. Caleb S.S. Dutton, minister of the First Unitarian Church of San Francisco from 1913 to 1949, died at his home here yesterday. He was 78 years old. Mr. Dutton was one of the founders of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. He graduated from Ccambridge University, England, in 1897. His first ministerial assignment was the Unitarian Church of Salem, Ohio, and he spent seven years as minister of the Second Unitarian Church of Brooklyn, New York. Survivors include his widow, Helen, and a daughter, Mrs. Lionel Elvin of London.
