    3. Betsy and others, Shortly after he told us all in November that he had been diagnosed with MDS, Dick asked if anyone would like a copy of his master file. It was over 10 Mbytes in size with nearly 250,000 names. I had responded that I would like a copy of it, but Dick was too close to the end of his life to respond again. He warned us about imperfections in the data and said that he was only really able to guarantee his own direct line. If someone on the list did get a full copy of his master file, I would like to obtain a copy too. Or, does anyone know how to download a full file from http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=dickdutton In a file as large as Dick's there well may be information regarding distant lines that you are unaware were connected. My own research in Quaker families of Chester County has turned up many, many connections that I would never had thought existed. If your parents and your husband's mother's family have roots in the same geographical area for more than 3 generations, then there could very well be connections in Dick's database.
