Hi Nich: I wonder how you are coming along with your Warburtons? Have you checked the parish records for Cheshire and Lancs.? I thought that I would pass this info on. Leycester reports in Cope (p.13-14) that Hugh Dutton had a son named Adam de Dutton who became the proprietor of Warburton. Peter, s/o Geoffry, s/o Geoffrey, s/o Adam, s/o Hugh de Dutton (III) moved his habitation to Warburton. (The two Geoffrey's sometimes called themselves of Budworth) Peter's son Peter called himself Peter de Warburton around the end of Edward 1. (Corrections welcomed!) So, since the Warburtons are really Duttons, I have this from the DKR 25:58, Inquisitions post mortem and other Inq. In the future, I will check the writs of livery for the Warburtons.
