    3. Hi Phyllis and all, I have finally received my copy of the above named book from Higginsonsbooks.com---almost three months waiting!! The copy of the printing is very sharp and clear; however, the photocopies of the pictures are very, very poor. Having been reproduced by a black and white copier, there are almost no shades of gray (only drawing lines); thus, most of the detail is lost. A picture of Lord Mohun is a few white splotches in a field of black, for example. Also, I cannot find the author's name. Aside from these two criticisms the book is excellent in other ways. It includes excellent references and the actual transcribed records and proofs: Acts of Parliament, British Museum Records, Records at the Herald's College, Chester Probate Records, (Inquisitions post mortem) IPMs from 1298, extractions of parish registers, extractions of Public Records, the Chester Recognizance Rolls (which I have also used in re-documenting our ancestors with modern references in the Deputy Keeper of the Public Records (DKR), etc. Thus, I am delighted with this book. There are also narrative accounts of duels (with physician reports and depositions), trials, and other historic data. There are many details. This book will keep me busy for quite a while!! ;)) Carole
