Hello "cousins," With the list having been down, some of my emails have come back to me, but not others. Taking a chance on being redundant, I am re-sending the following information again: Richard Dutton listed as passenger on the Supply http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/ifetch2?/u1/data/va+index+166430214698+F This peaked my curiosity and I tried to find out about Richard---what happened to him. Did he die at Jamestown or live to procreate! I have been to the address below (The Web-Gateway--Authority Lookup (Colonial Virginia): http://eagle.vsla.edu/cgi-bin/colonial.gateway?authority=0288-95880 I downloaded several documents: 13 Dec 1610 which states "Sir Thomas Dutton has returned." From where, I don't know. Another document mentions a "[no first name] Dutton" who had visited the Summer Islands and who had his allowance taken from him on 17 Mar 1622/23. They also mention "the Company" and tobacco prices frequently. This article is from the Manchester Papers. Well, it seems to me that Sir Thomas Dutton was probably a member of this "Company" and he had invested in tobacco in Virginia which probably made trips to Am. necessary by some folks at this time. I don't know what happened to Richard. I also downloaded articles about John Dutton 1619-1621, Manchester Papers, but I have not yet had a chance to see what the articles say. I wonder which John Dutton this could possibly be!!! Has anyone else seen these papers? The email I sent regarding the "Somer" or "Summer" Islands being Bermuda did come back to me, so I will not repeat it here. Are there Virginia Duttons on this LIST? Has anyone done any research in this area? If so, please share, OK? Later, Carole
