My line from this point goes James Dutton, Jr., Stephen Dutton, Stephen Hartwell Dutton, Perrin Smith Dutton, Herbert William Dutton, Derrick Allen Dutton, Kathelyn Mae (Dutton) Martin, me. As you will see from "Probate 21," there were indeed three children for James and Ruth Dutton: Stephen (my ancestor), Abigail, and Susanna. I have Abigail dying at age 18 in 1773; I believe she was an indentured servant with a neighboring family. I can't put my fingers on the story details at the moment. I have no trace of Susanna, with whom her mother was pregnant when James was killed, after these probate files. Darrell Darrell A.
