I can't speak for anyone else, but I wanted to again thank Dorothy Koenig who encouraged so many of us and allowed us to publish our articles in the New Netherland Connections. She encouraged new writers and provided a source of great information to everyone. She really is irreplaceable. So for those who have gone on to write for other publications or for those considering doing so, more often than not, Dorothy was the one who encouraged everyone onward. We don't often have that opportunity, so thanks so very much Dorothy, believe me, neither you or the New Netherland Connections has been forgotten and for providing the opportunity to sumit and share and learn how to craft a decent article for publication. And I'd like to add that Dorothy Koenig generously donated her early New York books to the library of the California Genealogical Society, and I and other researchers are more grateful to her than she knows. California is a vast wasteland of New York and New Jersey resources, and she changed that for all the Northern California residents who were trying to research their families in very early New York. Donations such as hers are cherished much more than she, or the others that do it, know. Now I fully intend to donate all of the books and resources that I have accumulated to a Sacramento library so others can enjoy them.
