Del, if you are making a trip to the FHL at SLC, I would suggest that you take the time to locate each of the deeds in which Hendrick Hendrickson's mark appears on the East Jersey Land Records, then use the FHL's microfilm copy equipment to make a physical paper copy of the appropriate images, then scan the physical pages (create both a .jpg and a PDF scan of each) and then place them online so that all who are interested in figuring out whether the two Hendrick Hendricksons are actually one, can view them and make a collective decision (or just decide for themselves). But the objective is to make them available so others can easily access them and weigh in. In case it wasn't clear in my previous post - although the comparison of Y-DNA test results between the descendant of William Hendrickson and the descendant of Hendrick Hendrickson of Middletown, can demonstrate that the ancestors, William and Hendrick, of Middletown, were most likely brothers, IT DOES NOT prove that the Hendrick Hendrickson of Middletown is the same as the Hendrick Hendrickson who married (1) a daughter of Achias Van Dyck, and married (2) Helena (Cortelyou) (Van Brunt) Denise, and lived in Kings Co. DNA tests of the descendants that you mentioned do not solve that question. Comparing the marks in the Monmouth Co. deeds and the Kings Co. deeds could help to answer the question of whether there are two Hendrick Hendricksons or if there is just one.
