Thanks so much Howard for sharing this wonderful article. I saw an exhibition at the National Gallery in London in 2007 called "The Golden Age of Dutch Portraiture" that included many of the masterpieces on permanent exhibition at the newly renovated Rijks Musuem. It was spectacular.
