Thanks Chris. I had missed the reference given that pertains to this document that gave the date as 10 februari 1656. It also states (with translation), "List of subscribers to the capital of the WIC stating the deposited amounts. At the top of page 2 is a date which appears to be "xen Febrúarij Jaers xvij Sestenvijftich" or 10th February in the year 1650. I've looked at several of the documents relating to the West India Company but not many in Brazil so this looks like an interesting document.
