Hi all, I recently took another look at the Casper Verlet family. (Also, Varlet and maybe Verleth or Varleth) Recall our last discussion here: http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/read/dutch-colonies/2007-03/1173120928 and see links to the follow-on messages at the bottom What's new is I've now searched the online Amsterdam baptisms at: http://gemeentearchief.amsterdam.nl/archieven/genealogie/doopregisters/zoek/index.nl.html Casper Verlet m., in Utrecht, Judith Tintenier on 17 Oct 1615. [NYGBR 71:118] Children: Abraham bp. 6 Oct 1616 in Utrecht [see Liz'es message of 5 Mar 2007] wit: Guillaume Tintenier, Magdaliene, wid. of Abraham Tintenier Nicholas Guillaume Jannetje born in Utrecht [NA RDC marr. record] Marija bp. 7 Nov 1627 in Amsterdam Judit bp. 8 Nov 1629 in Amsterdam Catrijna bp. 2 Sept 1631 in Amsterdam Jacus bp. 24 Nov 1633 in Amsterdam Catrijna bp. 22 June 1636 in Amsterdam Sara bp. 1 May 1639 in Amsterdam For now, I'd assume Nicholas and Guillaume were born in Utrect. According to the above Record article, Casper was the son of a Nicholas. That sons Nicholas and Guillaume are in this family has been discussed here before. Also, Caspar had a brother named Daniel (above article). Also, in Amsterdam I found the bap. of Anneken, the daughter of Daniel Verlet and Sara Stafmaker (the same wife the article shows) on 19 June 1636. I wonder if she is the Anna Verlet who married George Hack. Regards, Howard hswain@ix.netcom.com
