    3. Hi Liz, et al, I accessed "The Lott Family in America" by A. V. Phillips (1942) and on pages 9-10, he gives the family of Abraham Pieters Lott. According to the records of the Jamaica Reformed Dutch Church, he was married 4 times, and had 8 children. All 8 children are mentioned in his will dated 21 Jul 1760 and proved 4 Sep 1766 [WNYHS 7:27]. Abraham Pieters Lott married 1st to Claesje Langestraet and they had 3 sons (Johannes bpt 1695, Pieter bpt 1697 and Abraham, born circa 1699); 2nd to Geertruy Dorlandt by whom he had one son, Isaac bpt 1704; 3rd to Sara (_?_), by whom he had son Jacob bpt 1716; and finally, 4th, to Marytje (_?_), by whom he had son Hendrick bpt 1718, a daughter Geertje bpt 1720 and son, Rem bpt 1722 (all Jamaica Church records). Pieter Lott was baptized at the Jamaica Church on 31 Oct 1697, the "son of Abraham and Claesje Lott" and it was he who married Femmetje Remsen. At the baptism of their son Abraham Lott on 5 Sep 1722 at the New York Reformed Dutch Church, the sponsors were the paternal grandfather, Abraham Lott, and his 4th wife, Marytje (who remains unidentified). The line is not carried forward by Mr. Phillips, and it appears that Abraham Lott was the only child of Pieter Lott and Femmetje Remsen. Pieter Lott and Femmetje Remsen were the sponsors of their grandson Pieter on 2 Sep 1744 at the New York Reformed Dutch Church, the son of Abraham Lott and his first wife Cornelia Rapalje. On 23 May 1753, same church, Pieter Lott and Femmetje Remsen were the sponsors of their granddaughter Femmetje, daughter of Abraham Lott and Jannetje Goelet. Regards, Pam Sears
