    3. All, There was a certain Willem Wouterszen who, with wife Jannetje Jacobs, had three children baptized in the NA RDC: 1. Cornelisje Willems, 1 Apr 1665 (Hendrick Harmenszen, Sara his wife) 2. Wouter Willemszen, 13 Dec 1667 (Rutger Willemszen, Metje Davids) 3. Jan Williemszen, 9 Jul 1671 (Joris Waldron, Annetie Ackerman) Apparently Cornelisje Willems m. 16 Nov 1679, Hurley RDC, Kingston, Nicolaes Sluyter, but if so, she was very young. Wouter Willemszen m.(1) 22 Apr 1689, Bergen DRC, Divertje Jans [Van Blarcom]; m.(2) 21 Feb 1710, Hackensack DRC, Amelijntie Hans Harty. This family adopted the surname Van Schyven/Schuyven/Schiven/Sciven/Sciver/etc. I know nothing further of Jan Willemszen. References: 1.     3. All I know is that Cornelis had a son Hendrick who married Francyntje Clute, bp. 2 Oct 1733. She is daughter of Jacob Clute and Maria Brouwer. There was a woman years ago living near Chicago who descended from this line and was doing extensive research to figure out where the Williams actually came from. She was convinced they were English.
