The supplements to the 1964 Demarest genealogy compiled by Voorhis Demarest were incorporated into the 1992 edition. Voorhis Demarest's genealogy was a vast expansion of the original, 1938, genealogy compiled by William Henry Steele Demarest and his sister Mary Arthur Demarest. Both of these genealogies have been digitized and can be seen on the website of the Demarest Genealogical Society (DGS), www.demarests.com Voorhis Demarest's genealogical data is being added to and corrected by the DGS by permission of his family and continues to receive data submitted by all who would like to contribute.
