While on the subject of the Lott families, I would like to ask if anyone knows of this Lott. Baltus Lott born abt 1715 .1746 & 1747 Crum Elbow, Amenia,Dutchess Co., NY Tax Roll shows three Lott men, Andries, Baltus, and Henry. Also there were John and Richard Sackett.Frm the History of Sharon, Litchfield Co., Ct it says Baltus was a tenant of Richard Sackett who resided at Wassaic (New York) and had acquired title to thousands of acres along the border. He (Sackett) was associated with the powerful Livingston family of the Hudson River Valley and had helped settle German Palatine refugees near Red Hook. Amenia, New York is about 5 miles from Sharon, Connecticut and is in Dutchess County, New York. I haven't been able to locate Amenia in relation to Little Nine Partners but I believe Amenia may have been part of the Little Nine Partners patent. Abstracts of New York Wills Vol VI 1760-1766, page 211: Page 369.--In the name of God, Amen, March 9, 1762. I, HENRY LOTT, of Duchess County, Esq., being very sick in body. I leave to my son Abraham o50. All the remainder of my estate I leave to my three children, Abraham, Mary, and Sarah. I make my brother, Peter Lott, of New York, and his son, Abraham Lott, executors. Witnesses, Jacob R. Eversen, Benjamin Knight, Paulus Mowrer. Proved, January 18, 1763. I feel that the three Lott's,Baltus, Henry, and Andries in Armenia in 1746 are brothers and Baltus is my ancestor. I am looking for more info and records on this family. Baltus had 4 children I know of, Mary born 1744 in Little Nine Partners, Dutchess Co., Ny, Baltus Jr, Samuel and Abram or Abraham. Does the Lott Ancestry Book show anything on this family line. I have seen that Henry from the will above is son of Abraham Lott and Maria unknown to me yet and married Hester Buckout of Bushwyck. Baltus born abr 1714 has been my brick wall for many years now.
