Hi all, I see Dorothy provided much of what I show below. But I think there are a few additions; so I'll just sent the whole thing. But the A.P.G Jos van der Linde version of the Brooklyn RDC records, p. 218, has for the date Cynthia shows: "Abram Pietersen Lot, 'young man born in the Flackebos', and Geertje Jans Dorlant, 'maiden, born in Bedvoort', had their banns proclaimed, with the consent of the parents of the bridegroom and the bride." The Voorhees Flatbush records show that Abram Lot and Geertie Lot bap. a child with no name shown on 31 Oct 1697. The witnesses were Piter Lot and Geertruy. See above. I could be wrong, but it appears to me Mr. Phillips has mistaken Leek for Lot, and that Abraham Lot never married Claesje at all, but married Geertie first as Cynthia points out. > At the baptism of their son Abraham Lott on 5 Sep 1722 at the New York > Reformed Dutch Church, the sponsors were the paternal grandfather, Abraham Lott, and > his 4th wife, Marytje (who remains unidentified). In the Lott discussion, the surname Dorlant or Dortlandt arose. I am searching for information about Jannetje Dortlandt who married Jan Van Aarsdelen circa 1700-1710. possibly in Somerset Co. NJ.
