Ted! I did get the book and you are right! It is well worth it. This is based upon just a quick glance but with that I'm already overwhelmed with information to check out. Meanwhile, since I have them at hand, I reviewed the two known transcripts of the Wolver Hollow records, and can tell you that there is no record there of your Jacob or of Marritje Hansen. There are a few Stoutenburgh records from the period 1838 to 1853, though, and if these are of interest I'd be happy to forward them to you.
