I am wondering if anyone has any information confirming the name of Peter/Pieter LOTT'S wife? Another researcher sent me some undocumented information showing that Pieter, b. Jamaica, NY 1690, was married to a Sarah COVERT, daughter of Mauritz Teunise COVERT. I don't find a marriage for Peter/Pieter and Sarah and nothing to confirm that she is, in fact, a COVERT. Dear Liz, I found one reference to get you started: Andrew J. Provost, Early Settlers of Bushwick (1949), available on HeritageQuest. Vol. 3, p. 62 (Fonteyn Family) shows Sara Covert, daughter of Maurus Koevers [Covert] and Annetje (Fonteyn), baptized 27 Dec. 1692, sponsors, Jacques Fonteyn and his wife, Anneke (Webbers), the child's maternal uncle and aunt.
