I am looking for information on the family of Jacob Smith/Smidt/Smit and Maria Jacobs, who baptized four children in New York, namely Anna on 19 Oct 1672, Geertruyd on 12 May 1680, Sara on 31 Dec 1681 and a second Geertruyd on 2 Feb 1687. The female witness for the last of these was Catharina de Riemer, who was undoubtedly Catharina nee Smith, widow of Huybert de Riemer. Were Jacob Smith and Catharina de Riemer related?
