    3. Some of you have been confused by my last email. If you are currently a subscriber, you need do nothing to continue. Everything will be just as it was before for any- one already subscribed. The difference is, if you get automatically dropped by the "robot" at RootsWeb after the requisite "bounces" when your server is having problems, or if your mailbox gets full, you will then have to re-subscribe. At that point, the "robot" at RootsWeb will no longer subscribe you as before. Instead, the email will be forwarded to me for my action. Then, I will manually re-subscribe, or subscribe a new user, after checking to see if the address is on the "good" list or on the "bad" list. (GRIN) Yes, I do keep such lists. It became necessary in order to remove and keep removed some trouble makers on various Lists. You will continue to use the same address for sending email and the same address for subbing or unsubbing that was used before. Now, there is one thing you should be concerned about. If you use a server that is constantly having problems and you keep getting unsubbed and having to resub, I "might" have you on a "bad" list. This is no great problem -- all you have to do in such a case is send me a private email (given below), explaining what the problem was and whether it is fixed or not. Let me state right now that the only server I have had problems with lately is WebTV.Net. Phillips, Magnavox, and the other companies involved in the WebTV Net should have to receive, edit, and answer one million emails a day to atone for their poor organi- zation. I don't mean to start a "flame" thread, so DON'T any of you answer this part on the Lists. It's just that if you do use this service, you may keep getting automatically unsubbed by the software at RootsWeb and after several such unsubs, I might put you on the "bad" list. (Again, GRIN) Just be careful not to let your mailbox fill up, no matter which server you use. Those full mailboxes are really annoying. To recap, you DO NOT have to do anything to stay on the List(s) to which you subscribe. The only difference you will notice is that you will not see all those shameless ads for real estate, sex, etc., etc. That SHOULD be to the liking of all of you. So, now let's get on with our genealogy searches without all the distractions of nudnik advertisers. Enjoy. SgtGeorge
