    1. Re: DURMAN-D Digest V06 #1
    2. I have recieved your email. My interest is still John Durman born about 1862 or there about, of Sussex or possibly Hampshire, England All I can say is that there are not enough records for the area I need to help me prove who John's parents were. I have looked at every record that is available. I have a theory but I can't prove it because the record awer not complete, Most of the Durmans (with this spelling) came from the south of England. They spead from Sussex to Cornwall and all counties in between. Being from an area near the casot they could easily have travelled to all parts of the world. I have list of every one of them, frm about 1560 or so (when records were started in the churches) up until about 1900. First names for the men of John, William, Simon, and Robert were about the most popular, with a few Richards and Henrys here and there. Pam Freestone
