Surnames: Durkin Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/hBU.2ACEB/332 Message Board Post: I am looking for information about a brother (Anthony) and sister (Catherine or Katherine) Durkin who emigrated from Swinford, County Mayo, Ireland to Liverpool sometime in the early 1900s or very late 1890s. Their parents were Patrick & Mary (Roach) Durkin. There were 8 children in their family: 3 boys and 5 girls. Anthony and his sister Catherine emigrated to Liverpool. The other six children emigrated to the US, most settling in Chicago. Any information would be most appreciated.
