His widow, Lucinda Dornblaser Durkin, remarried Francis Achtermann. Lucinda and Hugh had a daughter, Ida, a nurse who did not marry. I also believe they had a daughter, Annie, who died as a young woman. This Durkin family lived in Bethlehem, but I believe he was from the coal regions and may have had a brother, Thomas.
