DURKIN, 92, formerly of Dunmore, died Saturday in Round Rock, Texas. Her husband, James A. DURKIN, died April 24, 1987. Born in Ballina, County Mayo, Ireland, daughter of the late John and Margaret MCDERMOTT VINARD, she was a former member of St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church, Dunmore, and its Altar and Rosary Society. She also served as a volunteer for the American Red Cross. Devoted to her family, she was proud of her Irish heritage. She inspired and encouraged her family to realize their dreams and ambitions. Surviving are two sons, James A. DURKIN, Boulder City, Nev.; and Jerry DURKIN, Port Chester, N.Y.; a daughter, Margaret CURTIS, Round Rock; nieces and nephews, including James VINARD, Mechanicsburg, whom she raised; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and cousins. She was also preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters. The funeral will be Saturday with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church, Chestnut Street, Dunmore. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday, 8:30 a.m. until Mass time, at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. William's Catholic Church Capital Campaign, 1000 McNeil Road, Round Rock, Texas, 78681. Arrangements by the Albert P.
