The name is sometimes spelled Durcan. Philip's son was my grandfather Michael J. Durkin, who came to Salem, Massachusetts. He had several siblings who also came to the United States, including Luke , Bridget, Atty, and Winfred. I have never been able to find a record of Michael's birth or to prove how and when he came to the U.S. Is there anyone else (other than Karen Treacy) who is tracking this family who might have some information?
