Hello David - I am new to this list and working on my husband's family. His 2g grandmother was Bridget Durkin. She was born about 1815 in Ireland, married Patrick Early either in Ireland or in Canada before 1838. In that year, they had a daughter, Catherine, born, according to the 1850 IN census, in "Lower Canada" which I understand included Quebec and the NE provinces. By 1850 they lived in Fort Wayne, IN. If you come across Bridget in your Durkin research, I'd love to hear from you.
