    3. My Durkin was from Co. Slego. All I know is that he was twenty one years old when he enlisted in the US Army at Newport, Kentucky in 1852. Since a lot of Durkins from Penn. originated from Co Slego I suspect he came from one of those Families. His name was Owen Durkin. He died in 1859 in Texas while serving in the Army. If you run across an Owen Durkin in your research please let me know.
