I ask because I also have an interest in any Durkins in Durham and I have come across an Anthony Durkin who was in Durham (city) by the time of the 1861 census. He married Bridget Brushlin in 1857, also in Durham. I am not sure yet if he is connected to my family, who were originally from Sligo.
