Author: boniface1959 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.durkin/74.99.103.104.106.107.1.1.1.1.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Checked some census records, 1930 John Durkin age 23,lived with our Bridget, I think he was her nephew, also 1900 census i got lucky finding Nora Durkin, Bridgets sisters, I have to find Nora now, I am wondering if she married a Brown or married someone else and perhaps moved out of the allegheny area. Does Sherlock St and Goshen St ring any bells with your family, this was up in the Perrsyville area. Also the names Hennigin, O'Connell, Bernie McTighe, Martin Delmartin. 1920 census has this family living together, James Brown Bridget Durkin 54, Margaret Sallivan Age 22, Agnes B Brown 20, William C Brown 16 , Josephine Brown 13, Elizabeth Brown 11, now I think they were all related, Agnes is listed as bridgets daughter but talking to the family Agnes was not and no doubt was Johns daughter or Williams daughter, margaret, William, Agnes, Josephine must be from our Bridget Durkin husband James Brown's family or his brothers and sister or grandaughter Josephine, Wm and Elizabeth, oh they were so hushed up about things back then, who can blame them, its making it hard on us, but I guess thats part of the fun we are having.
