I have very little information due to a scandalous little secret, but the story goes: My grandfather, James Edward Durkin Sr, born in 1921, had a family (wife and I think 5 children and something about a potato farm?) in New York before leaving them to start a family in Florida with Ila Virginia Cunningham Durkin. They had 2 children, James Edward Durkin Jr and Ila Virginia Durkin Jr. I am the daughter of James E. Durkin Jr. And I remember him saying his family (parents or grandparents?) was from Ireland.
