However, when I checked for Margaert Feeney on LDS it came up with Owen Durkin marriage 24 March 1856 in Portland, Maine. Anne, my ggrandmother was born Honora Durkin, 10 Nov 1832 in Swinford. She was the daughter of John Durkin and Sarah ?. She was married in Providence, RI and had two of her children in Youngstown, Ohio and then returned to Providence where she died. I don't know if the Youngstown connection was with the Durkins or with her husband, James Kiggin. Mary Alice

THE WILKES-BARRE RECORD Monday, July 13 1903 DEATH AT SUGAR NOTCH Mrs. Julia Durkin, wife of William Durkin of Oak Street, Sugar Notch died at 8 o'clock yesterday morning of pleurisy, aged 45 years. Diseased is survived by her husband and the following children: Mary, Celia, Thomas, Margaret, Anthony, Edward, William and Patrick. The funeral will be held to-morrow with a requiem at St. Charles Church at 9 o'clock, and interment in Sugar Notch cemetery. Thursday, July 16 1903 SUGAR NOTCH The funeral of Mrs. William Durkin took place on Tuesday. High mass of requiem was celebrated by Rev. J. H. Judge. The floral tributes were beautiful. The pall bearers were: Andrew Lenahan, of Pittston, James Corrigan, Patrick McGuire, John O'Donnell, Phillip Duffy of this place and Patrick Lenahan of Ashley. Patrick Lenahan was flower bearer.

My DURKIN was Malachi DURKIN---DOB c. 1856 in Kiltimagh, County Mayo His father was Thomas Durkin and mother was Julia (? O'Leary). He married Mary HOLLAND c. 1880. Malachi emigrated to the US around 1870, and went to St. Claire, PA where he worked as a coal miner. Later he moved to Wilkes-Barre, PA and worked on the trains. He married Mary HOLLAND, and together they had 11 children, 8 of whom lived to maturity. Children of Malachi and Mary were: Thomas / Marie / Martin / Anna / Bridget / Julia / Helen Elizabeth (aka--Nellie) / & Charles. Had 3 children Mary born 10/14/1893 Dorothy and Theodore (Twins) Born 10/18/1905 James was a plumber and after retiring he moved to Cascade Iowa until he became ill and his daughter took him to Okla City where he died in 1954.
