Hi guys I was astonished to find that a lot of my old family photos were from Thirwells. Interestingly Thirwells Ltd. - a limited company ! They are described as being at Stockton -on Tees and also West Hartlepool and Darlington. My mothers family was from Stockton and as a small boy I spent a lot of time there but I do not remember the location of Thirwells corner. Can anybody tell me where it was ? I'd always assumed that the family portraits were by Forrest Wompra of Middlesbrough Redcar and Saltburn. Has the list of photographs of either of them survived ? doug Kyle
