    1. [DUR-NBL] Anyone want an Ancestry Look-up?
    2. Hi Diane! What a nice offer! I'm looking for info on the family of John Stanford TURNS, born Oct. 18, 1828, South Shields, County Durham. His parents were William(son) TURNS (1803) and Susanna STANFORD, born 1803, died Feb. 15, 1830, and buried at St. Hilda's Parish, South Shields. William(son) was a sea captain and was lost at sea, date unknown. There was also a brother, Robert. William(son) TURNS parents were John TURNS, born 1768, and Mary BRODERICK. I find children born: Margaret 1794, John 1796, Catherine 1798, William 1803, Elizabeth 1804, Brodrick 1810. Susanna STANFORD's parents were Daniel STANFORD and Martha PRIOR, married St. Hilda's, South Shields, Jan 2, 1803. Brother, Henry born 1807. John Stanford TURNS married Jane ROBINSON, daughter of William ROBINSON and Ann SANDERSON, she was born around 1829-30, possibly Auckland St. Andrews, Durham, maybe Tynemouth, Northumberland. They had William Stanford TURNS, 1849-1850, and Jane TURNS, born 1851. (She is my line and we have little info on her before the family moved to the USA, and eventually settled in Muskegon County, Michigan, and marrying Daniel MAHONEY, from Ireland. That is a whole other brick wall!) The next known child, Martha, was born in 1855 in New York. Other possible children born in England are Isabella and Mary Ann. I'm hoping to find these families on census info before 1855..., anything would be helpful!
