Dear Listers, Thanks to those who took the time to help me sort out the possible reasons for a missing entry (male) in the Freebmd marriage database; especially Margaret, Jenny, John & Colin. The other databases, e.g. GRO/BMD @ Ancestry.com, are consistent with the freebmd so I will continue, from time to time, to check the various Indices for the missing entry. Best wishes, Bette
