I hope some can help. I am trying to trace the family of George BROWN who married Beatrice Alice PAYNE (Pain/Paine). I have very limited information about George; 1900 marriage certificate (03 Dec 1900 - Newcastle Tyne) shows his age as 21, and he is living at 292 Pilgrim Street Newcastle Upon Tyne (just up the road from Beatrice). His father is shown as Thomas BROWN (deceased) - Marine Engineer. The 1901 census shows George and Beatrice are living at 10 Frederick Street Gateshead, and this is also recorded as George's birthplace. The record shows both their ages as 19. George is a Shipyard Labourer. I cannot find a suitable record in either 1881 or 1891. Perhaps, I am missing something. Can anyone help with information about George and Thomas? Many thanks, Paul
